Even 3 Idiots Deserve A Chance

Yesterday, i was at the video rental store and chanced on this rather splashy looking DVD boxset "3 Idiots".  The stock market recently has not exactly been the least-stressful place to be so i gather a little comic relief wouldn't hurt.  There's a catch though.  Its a Hindi/Bollywood movie.  Now, I must confess to having a certain biasness against Hindi films.  Aren't they all over the top, with lots of dancing and cultural stories that non-Indians like myself are unfamiliar with?  A quick check with IMDb rated the show an 8.2 - hmm, ... impressive.  Ok, I'll give it a try.  And am i glad i did!

If, like me, you're into movies, then this is one NOT to be missed.  I laughed so hard and totally enjoyed this near 3-hour treat.  It was full of comedy, but with lots of heart.  Well, the movie is about how two "idiots" Farhan and Raju who sets off on a journey to find their lost friend, the 3rd "idiot" Rancho. This is a story of how the brilliant and independent-minded Rancho inspired and changed their lives.  The film has many twists and turns, and there is so much happening, the screenplay is gripping.  There were many hilarious scenes and there were many moments that touched my heart.

This movie is highly entertaining.  So do yourself a favour and experience the phenomenon for yourself.  You'll be glad you did.
